In drip irrigation, what are the devices fixed on small diameter lateral pipes to discharge water drop by drop onto the soil called?

Groynes are constructed for river bank protection. When a groyne is inclined downstream in the direction of flow, it is designated as a:

What is the available moisture depth for evapotranspiration in a root zone of 1 m depth soil, if the dry unit weight of soil is 1.5 g/cc, field capacity is 30%, and permanent wilting point is 10%?

In a river regulation work, silt excluder and silt ejector are constructed:

Berms are provided in canals when the canal cross-section is:

Consider the given statements and select the correct answer: Statement 1: When the surface drainage is not adequate, the heavy precipitation in the area is not drained off quickly and the rainwater remains stagnant over the area for a considerable time. Statement 2: Sometimes the cultivators plough up and obliterate existing natural drainage. This results in a stoppage of stormwater flow, consequent flooding and waterlogging.

The unit of duty of a crop in irrigation engineering is expressed as:

A level crossing type of cross-drainage work consists of:

Determine the design discharge of a canal given that the time factor is 1015 and capacity factor is 0.6. Fasal data: - Sugarcane: Base period = 320 days, Area = 800 ha, Duty = 550 ha/cumec - Overlap Sugarcane: Base period = 120 days, Area = 550 ha, Duty = 1000 ha/cumec - Vegetables: Base period = 120 days, Area = 350 ha, Duty = 550 ha/cumec
