पारित होने का वर्ष: 74वां संविधान संशोधन अधिनियम, 1992 (नगरपालिका विधेयक) भारतीय संसद द्वारा वर्ष 1992 में पारित किया गया था।
संविधान में जोड़ा जाना: इस अधिनियम के माध्यम سے भारतीय संविधान में भाग IX-A (अनुच्छेद 243-P से 243-ZG तक) जोड़ा गया और एक नई 12वीं अनुसूची जोड़ी गई, जिसमें नगरपालिकाओं की शक्तियों, प्राधिकारों और उत्तरदायित्वों से संबंधित 12 विषय शामिल हैं।
लागू होना: यह अधिनियम आधिकारिक तौर पर 1 जून 1993 से पूरे देश में लागू हुआ था।
