व्याख्या
संसद को आहूत (summon) करने, सत्रावसान (prorogue) करने और लोकसभा को भंग (dissolve) करने की शक्ति भारत के राष्ट्रपति के पास है।
संविधान का अनुच्छेद 85: इसके अंतर्गत राष्ट्रपति को समय-समय पर संसद के प्रत्येक सदन को बैठक के लिए आहूत (बुलाने) करने का अधिकार है।
सत्रावसान और विघटन: राष्ट्रपति ही संसद के सत्र का सत्रावसान करते हैं और प्रधानमंत्री की सलाह पर लोकसभा को उसके कार्यकाल से पहले भी भंग कर सकते हैं।
