स्पष्टीकरण:
भारतीय संविधान के अनुच्छेद 84(b) के अनुसार संसद के उच्च सदन यानी राज्यसभा की सदस्यता के लिए न्यूनतम आयु 30 वर्ष निर्धारित की गई है।
विभिन्न पदों के लिए न्यूनतम आयु का पैमाना इस प्रकार है:
21 वर्ष: ग्राम पंचायत या स्थानीय निकायों के चुनाव लड़ने के लिए।
25 वर्ष: लोकसभा सदस्य (सांसद) या राज्य विधानसभा के विधायक बनने के लिए।
30 वर्ष: राज्यसभा सदस्य या विधान परिषद के सदस्य बनने के लिए।
35 वर्ष: भारत के राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति और राज्यपाल बनने के लिए।
