मैग्नेटिक कोर मेमोरी का परिचय
द्वितीय पीढ़ी की तकनीक: द्वितीय पीढ़ी के कंप्यूटरों (लगभग 1956-1963) में वैक्यूम ट्यूब की जगह ट्रांजिस्टर का उपयोग होने लगा।
स्टोरेज में सुधार: इसी पीढ़ी में डेटा और निर्देशों को सुरक्षित रखने के लिए प्राथमिक आंतरिक स्टोरेज के रूप में मैग्नेटिक कोर मेमोरी (Magnetic Core Memory) को पेश किया गया।
लाभ: इससे कंप्यूटरों की गति, विश्वसनीयता और आंतरिक भंडारण क्षमता प्रथम पीढ़ी की तुलना में काफी बेहतर हो गई।
