मुगल सम्राट अकबर ने वर्ष 1586 ई० में कश्मीर को मुगल साम्राज्य में मिलाया था।
मुख्य बिंदु:
अकबर ने अपने सेनापति कासिम खान के नेतृत्व में कश्मीर पर आक्रमण करने के लिए एक सैन्य अभियान भेजा था।
उस समय कश्मीर पर चक वंश के शासक यूसुफ शाह चक का शासन था।
कड़े संघर्ष के बाद कश्मीर को मुगल साम्राज्य के अधीन कर लिया गया और इसे मुगल साम्राज्य का एक सूबा (प्रान्त) बना दिया गया।
