भारतीय संविधान में मौलिक कर्तव्यों को 42वें संशोधन द्वारा जोड़ा गया था।
मुख्य बिंदु:
यह संशोधन वर्ष 1976 में किया गया था।
स्वर्ण सिंह समिति की सिफारिशों के आधार पर संविधान में भाग IV-A और अनुच्छेद 51A को जोड़कर मौलिक कर्तव्यों (शुरुआत में 10, वर्तमान में
- 11) को शामिल किया गया।
इन कर्तव्यों को रूस (तत्कालीन सोवियत संघ) के संविधान से लिया गया है।
