भारतीय संविधान के अनुच्छेद 226 के तहत उच्च न्यायालय (High Court) 5 प्रकार की रिट जारी कर सकता है।
मुख्य बिंदु:
ये पांच रिट्स निम्नलिखित हैं:
बंदी प्रत्यक्षीकरण (Habeas Corpus)
परमादेश (Mandamus)
प्रतिषेध (Prohibition)
अधिकार पृच्छा (Quo-Warranto)
उत्प्रेषण (Certiorari)
उच्च न्यायालय का रिट क्षेत्राधिकार (Writs Jurisdiction) सर्वोच्च न्यायालय की तुलना में अधिक विस्तृत होता है, क्योंकि उच्च न्यायालय मौलिक अधिकारों के साथ-साथ अन्य कानूनी अधिकारों के उल्लंघन पर भी रिट जारी कर सकता है।
