भारतीय संविधान के अनुच्छेद 243ZD के तहत जिला योजना समिति (District Planning Committee
- DPC) का गठन किया जाता है।
मुख्य बिंदु:
गठन और उद्देश्य: प्रत्येक राज्य में जिला स्तर पर एक जिला योजना समिति का गठन किया जाता है, जिसका मुख्य कार्य जिले के लिए विकास योजनाएं तैयार करना और जिले में पंचायतों व नगरपालिकाओं द्वारा तैयार की गई योजनाओं को समेकित (integrate) करना है।
संरचना: इस समिति के अधिकांश सदस्य जिले की पंचायतों और नगरपालिकाओं के निर्वाचित सदस्यों द्वारा अपने में से ही चुने जाते हैं।
