व्याख्या
भारत सरकार के बजट में कुल व्यय (Total Expenditure) और कुल प्राप्तियों (Total Receipts) के बीच के कुल अंतर को बजट घाटा (Budget Deficit) कहा जाता है।
मुख्य बिंदु:
अर्थ: जब सरकार का कुल खर्च उसकी कुल आमदनी (राजस्व और पूंजीगत प्राप्तियों दोनों को मिलाकर) से अधिक हो जाता है, तो उसे बजट घाटा कहते हैं।
अन्य प्रकार के घाटे:
राजकोषीय घाटा कुल व्यय और उधार को छोड़कर कुल प्राप्तियों का अंतर होता है।
राजस्व घाटा केवल राजस्व प्राप्तियों और राजस्व व्यय के अंतर को दर्शाता है।
