बंगाल विभाजन की प्रतिक्रिया के रूप में स्वदेशी आंदोलन शुरू हुआ था।
मुख्य बिंदु:
घोषणा और वर्ष: ब्रिटिश वायसराय लॉर्ड कर्जन द्वारा 1905 में बंगाल के विभाजन की घोषणा की गई थी।
प्रतिक्रिया: इसके विरोध में भारतीय राष्ट्रवादियों ने ब्रिटिश वस्तुओं का बहिष्कार करने और अपने देश में बनी वस्तुओं का उपयोग करने का निर्णय लिया।
शुरुआत: 7 अगस्त 1905 को कलकत्ता के टाउन हॉल में एक ऐतिहासिक बैठक में स्वदेशी आंदोलन की औपचारिक शुरुआत की गई।
