What was the all-time high aggregate net profit recorded by Public Sector Banks (PSBs) in FY 2025–26?

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has eased the prudential framework for acquisition financing, enabling banks to actively support domestic Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Based on the revised norms, consider the following statements: 1. To qualify for acquisition financing under the eased framework, unlisted companies are required to have a minimum net worth of ₹500 crore and a proven three-year track record of profitability. 2. For listed companies, banks are permitted to extend up to 100% financing, with a provision that at least 25% may be structured as bridge finance that is repayable within one year. 3. The central bank has explicitly prohibited the refinancing of existing acquisition debt, although it allows financing at nuanced corporate ownership thresholds such as 26%, 51%, and 76%. Which of the statements given above is/are correct?
