प्रारंभ: भारत में टेलीविजन (दूरदर्शन) की शुरुआत 15 सितंबर 1959 को हुई थी। शुरुआती वर्षों में यह आकाशवाणी (All India Radio) का ही एक अंग हुआ करता था।
