पुनर्गठन अधिनियम: भारत सरकार द्वारा 'जम्मू और कश्मीर पुनर्गठन अधिनियम, 2019' के माध्यम से 31 अक्टूबर 2019 को तत्कालीन जम्मू और कश्मीर राज्य का पुनर्गठन किया गया।
दो नए केंद्र शासित प्रदेश: इस अधिनियम के तहत पुराने राज्य को दो अलग-अलग केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में विभाजित किया गया:
जम्मू और कश्मीर (विधानसभा सहित)
लद्दाख (बिना विधानसभा के)
