प्रथम चरण
व्याख्या
भारत में दशकीय जनगणना की प्रक्रिया को सुनियोजित तरीके से पूरा करने के लिए चरणों में विभाजित किया जाता है।
प्रथम चरण: जनगणना का पहला चरण मकान सूचीकरण और मकान जनगणना (Houselisting and Housing Census) से संबंधित होता है। इसमें देश के सभी मकानों, उनकी अवस्था, उनमें रहने वाले लोगों की सुविधाओं और परिसंपत्तियों का विवरण जुटाया जाता है।
द्वितीय चरण: इसके बाद मुख्य जनसंख्या गणना (Population Enumeration) का कार्य किया जाता है, जिसमें प्रत्येक व्यक्ति की जनसांख्यिकीय, सामाजिक और आर्थिक विशेषताओं को दर्ज किया जाता है।
