भारतीय संविधान का आठवां संशोधन अधिनियम, 1960 लोकसभा और राज्य विधानसभाओं में अनुसूचित जातियों (SCs), अनुसूचित जनजातियों (STs), और एंग्लो-इंडियन समुदायों के लिए सीटों के आरक्षण की अवधि को बढ़ाने से संबंधित है।
मूल संविधान में यह प्रावधान किया गया था कि आरक्षण की यह व्यवस्था लागू होने के बाद केवल दस वर्षों (यानी 1960 तक) के लिए रहेगी।
इस आठवें संशोधन द्वारा इस अवधि को दस वर्ष और बढ़ाकर 1970 तक के लिए कर दिया गया था।
