86वां संशोधन
मौलिक कर्तव्य: भारतीय संविधान में मूल कर्तव्य स्वर्ण सिंह समिति की सिफारिश पर 42वें संविधान संशोधन (1976) द्वारा जोड़े गए थे, जिसके तहत भाग IV-क (अनुच्छेद 51-क) में 10 मौलिक कर्तव्य शामिल किए गए थे।
6वां मौलिक कर्तव्य: 86वें संविधान संशोधन अधिनियम, 2002 के माध्यम से संविधान में 11वां मौलिक कर्तव्य जोड़ा गया। यह कर्तव्य माता-पिता या संरक्षक का यह दायित्व तय करता है कि वे अपने 6 से 14 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चों (या प्रतिपाल्यों) को शिक्षा के अवसर प्रदान करें।
