भारतीय संविधान का अनुच्छेद 370 जम्मू और कश्मीर राज्य को एक विशेष दर्जा प्रदान करता था, जिसे अगस्त 2019 में संवैधानिक आदेश के माध्यम से प्रभावी रूप से निष्प्रभावी कर दिया गया।
विशेष प्रावधान: इसके तहत जम्मू और कश्मीर राज्य का अपना अलग संविधान था और वहां भारतीय संविधान के अधिकांश प्रावधान सीधे लागू नहीं होते थे।
कानूनी स्थिति: इस अनुच्छेद के अंतर्गत राज्य को अपने भू-भाग, नागरिकों के अधिकारों और कानून निर्माण से जुड़े कई मामलों में स्वायत्तता प्राप्त थी।
रद्दीकरण: अगस्त 2019 में संसद द्वारा इस प्रावधान को समाप्त कर दिया गया, जिससे पूरे देश का संविधान और कानून अब जम्मू और कश्मीर तथा लद्दाख पर भी समान रूप से लागू होते हैं।
