संसद द्वारा पारित और राष्ट्रपति की सहमति प्राप्त करने के बाद एक विधेयक कानून (Act / Law) बन जाता है।
विधायी प्रक्रिया: जब कोई विधेयक (Bill) लोकसभा और राज्य सभा दोनों सदनों द्वारा पारित कर दिया जाता है, तब उसे अंतिम स्वीकृति के लिए भारत के राष्ट्रपति के पास भेजा जाता है।
संविधान का अनुच्छेद 111: इसके तहत जब राष्ट्रपति किसी विधेयक पर अपनी सहमति (Assent) दे देते हैं, तब वह विधेयक एक औपचारिक अधिनियम या कानून का रूप धारण कर लेता है और संपूर्ण देश या निर्धारित क्षेत्र में लागू हो जाता है।
