Two vectors P and Q have a maximum and minimum resultant of 10 and 6 units respectively. A new vector P' has a magnitude 25% less than P, and a new vector Q' has a magnitude 100% more than Q. If P' and Q' are perpendicular to each other (P' · Q' = 0) and their resultant is R' (R' = P' + Q'), find the magnitude and direction of R'.
- 12√13 units; at an angle of cot-1(2/3) with P'
- 22√13 units; at an angle of tan-1(2/3) with P'✓
- 32√13 units; at an angle of cos-1(2/3) with P'
- 42√13 units; at an angle of sin-1(2/3) with P'
Correct answer
