Physics · Buoyancy and Floatation
Three objects A, B, and C having different densities but the same volume (size) are put in a liquid. Consider the following situations: (i) A is completely submerged in the liquid. (ii) B floats with 1/4th of its volume inside the liquid. (iii) C floats with 1/2 of its volume inside the liquid. Arrange these situations in ascending order of the buoyant force acting on each object.
- 1A = B = C
- 2A < C < B
- 3B = C > A
- 4B < C < A✓
