Mathematics · Speed, Time and Distance
Solve for Quantity-I and Quantity-II to establish the correct relationship between them: Quantity-I: The upstream speed of a boat is 10 km/h less than its downstream speed. The ratio between the upstream and downstream speeds is 3 : 5. If the time taken by the boat to travel (D - 5) km upstream is 3 hours, find the time taken to travel (2D) km downstream. Quantity-II: Aman covers a certain distance in 8 hours. If he increases his speed by 2 km/h, he can cover the same distance in 6 hours. Find the time Aman would take to cover the same distance if his speed is reduced by 3 km/h.
- 1Quantity-I = Quantity-II or No relation
- 2Quantity-I ≤ Quantity-II
- 3Quantity-I < Quantity-II✓
- 4Quantity-I > Quantity-II
Correct answer
Quantity-I < Quantity-II
