India invites Chinese telecom giant Huawei Technologies - a company which has been banned by the United States as a threat to its cyber security, and whose participation in 5G networks raised concerns in Australia and New Zealand - to participate in 5G trials. Although there have been changes in Indian conditions in the last decade, there are still insufficient security measures in the telecom sector in India, which is the backbone of the digital economy. The only thing that has changed is the technology standard - earlier the fear was regarding Chinese 3G devices being used for spyware, and now it is about Chinese 5G devices. To address these alleged safety hazards, experts have suggested two ways that can be used by the government. First, establishment of infrastructure to test and identify the vulnerabilities of telecommunication equipment installed in the country.
