Read the following passage and evaluate the statement given below: At a ceremony, the miners of Prosper-Haniel mine of Germany provided a piece of black coal to their country's President Frank-Walter Steinmeier during the announcement of the closure of the country's last black coal mine. However, this does not mean that Germany will be completely coal-free: in Germany, the import of cheap foreign coal will continue. Coal-free means only that there will be no coal drilling, blasting, hauling, collection, and transportation, which is a major factor in environmental pollution. Through the export of coal, Europe has emerged as the world's economic power, but with its closure, the burden of pollution on the European nations will be minimized. Germany's decision to close the last coal mine is to meet its carbon emission goals. Although such developments are positive news, closing the mining of coal in a phased manner can limit global warming to a critical level of 1.5 °C. The use of coal in the world is not soon to be overcome because many parts of the world, such as India and China, still need cheap fuel to promote their economic growth. Statement: Germany has announced the end of its final black coal mining work.
