Physics · Electricity
Consider two circuits, A and B, each of which has six resistors and each circuit has resistance R A and R B respectively. In each circuit, the resistors are connected in such a way that the net resistance of each circuit is the minimum. Now a 20 V battery with negligible internal resistance is connected across each circuit separately, and the currents drawn by circuit A and circuit B are 6 A and 8 A, respectively. Then R A and R B will be:
- 1R A = 3.33 Ω and R B = 2.5 Ω
- 2R A = 15 Ω and R B = 20 Ω
- 3R A = 20 Ω and R B = 15 Ω
- 4R A = 20/3 Ω and R B = 2.5 Ω✓
Correct answer
R A = 20/3 Ω and R B = 2.5 Ω
