- PSB) हैं।
मुख्य बिंदु:
हाल के वर्षों में भारत सरकार द्वारा कई सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों का आपस में विलय (Merger) किया गया है, जिसके बाद इनकी संख्या घटकर 12 रह गई है।
इन 12 बैंकों में स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (SBI) सहित 11 अन्य राष्ट्रीयकृत बैंक शामिल हैं।
सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के वे बैंक होते हैं जिनमें सरकार की बहुसंख्यक (50% से अधिक) हिस्सेदारी होती है।
