मूल और वर्तमान प्रावधान: मूल संविधान में लोकसभा की अधिकतम संख्या 552 निर्धारित की गई थी, जिसमें 2 सदस्य आंग्ल-भारतीय (Anglo-Indian) समुदाय के लिए आरक्षित थे।
संवैधानिक संशोधन: 104वें संविधान संशोधन अधिनियम, 2019 के माध्यम से लोकसभा और विधानसभाओं में आंग्ल-भारतीय समुदाय के लिए आरक्षित सीटों के प्रावधान को आगे नहीं बढ़ाया गया, जिसके कारण लोकसभा की अधिकतम अनुमेय संख्या घटकर 550 रह गई है।
विभाजन: इसमें से अधिकतम 530 सदस्य राज्यों के क्षेत्रीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों से और अधिकतम 20 सदस्य केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों से चुने जा सकते हैं।
