A transversal line L intersects two parallel lines AB and CD at P and Q respectively. If the interior angles on the same side of the transversal are ∠APQ = (2x + 10)° and ∠CQP = (3y - 15)° such that they are supplementary, or if ∠APQ and ∠LQD are corresponding angles with ∠APQ = (3x - 10)° and ∠LQD = (3y - 15)° giving 3x - 10 = 3y - 15, then determine the relation between x and y.
- 1y + 2x = 60
- 2y + x = 10
- 3y = x - 10
- 4x = y - 5✓
Correct answer
x = y - 5
