A square loop of side 20 cm and resistance 1 Ω is moved towards the right with a constant speed v0. The right arm of the loop is within a uniform magnetic field of 5 T directed perpendicular and into the plane of the loop. The loop is connected to an external symmetrical bridge network of resistors where the equivalent resistance across the loop terminals is 4 Ω. What should be the value of v0 so that a steady current of 2 mA flows in the loop?
- 110-2 cm/s
- 21 m/s
- 31 cm/s✓
- 4102 m/s
Correct answer
1 cm/s
