Physics · Motion in a Plane
A body is projected from point A on the ground with a velocity V1 at an angle of projection θ. Another body is projected horizontally with velocity V2 from point B, which is vertically below the highest point C of the first body's trajectory. If both bodies are released simultaneously and collide at the highest point C, then the relationship between V1 and V2 is:
- 1V1 = 3V2
- 2V2 = V1 cos(θ)✓
- 3V2 = 12 V1
- 4V1 = 12 V2
Correct answer
V2 = V1 cos(θ)
